Bolts are widely used in aerospace, road and bridge engineering. Loosening of bolt connections can lead to structural failure, posing a significant threat to structural safety. Detection of bolt loosening is an effective method to improve the reliability of bolt connections. This paper focuses on the research of bolt structure loosening location and evaluation. Initially, theoretical methods are employed to study bolt detection theory. By establishing a verification platform for detection methods, ultrasonic guided wave signals are excited and collected. Based on the interaction between ultrasonic guided waves and bolts, guided wave imaging algorithms are utilized to focus and reconstruct the guided waves transmitted between plates, enabling the identification of bolt loosening locations and the assessment of the state of the lapped structure. The bolt loosening detection technology based on ultrasonic methods proposed in this paper provides theoretical support for structural maintenance and safety evaluation.
